I was driving home tonight over the bridge at palmy, when to my amazement I saw someone with what looked like an older yellow cab. I'm not trying to be negative or big note myself, but who ever that was dude seriously, that has to be the worst spot to kite on a northerly, seriously bloody dangerous. The north side (burleigh hill) completly blocks the wind, the south side is mostly a rock wall and the west is a bridge full of cars. I can't imagine what would happen if you dropped kite onto the highway. Like I said I only briefly saw, and for all I know you could be just inflating your kite or washing it or whatever, and please call me out if im wrong, But if not, tallebudgerra creek is not a kiting spot. I felt sick when I saw the kite.

Hmmmmmm, older model Cab in Tallebudgera creek with a northerly blowing, sounds to me like an ebay/gumtree special and chances are that old mate is not gonna read this thread which is a damn shame. People like this do nothing but ruin it for everyone else and are a danger to themselves as well as the unsuspecting public, I can only imagine how packed it was in there at this time of year. Personally, I would have stopped and gone down and had a word with him. Don't want to sound like the Kite Police, but who else is gonna prevent these cowboys from giving the authorities a reason to start imposing more bans and laws that we don't need, as the majority do the right thing. It only takes a few dickheads to spoil it for everyone else. Lets hope there wasn't enough wind in there for him to get the kite in the air, I can't imagine there would have been.

Merry Christmas and stay safe peoples

I saw a cowboy yesterday trying to kite in my canal hahahahah the idiot didnt even know that you had to inflate the kite. His girlfriend was trying to launch it for him but she had no idea either. I got my phone out to film. Woulda got a million hits on you tube for sure. There was nobody around for him to crash into and the kite was never going to fly because it was dead flat. He gave up pretty quickly tho.
