Any recommendations for months to head up to Port Douglas between the months of June and October? Or is it all good?

What beacons give the most accurate forecast for the main beach?

Did you read the Surf FX thread below?

Great bunch of guy's who have done the trip many times before with a wealth of knowledge for that area.

IMO there would be no better way to check out Port Douglas....

My wedding anniversary is in that same week, Soooo...... trying to convince the other half that share accommodation and quality time relaxing on the beach by herself is what marriage is all about is going down quite well...

I'll let you know how it all goes once I get up off the floor

Is the kiting on that trip mainly conducted on the main beach, or are there options for places offshore?

Hey There, Checkout the Low Isles Beacon for wind strength as it is most accurate for 4 mile beach.

Generally the wind is good btw those months although you will need to bring your bigger kites as it never gets over 25 knts here :(

The southern end of 4 mile beach is where all the local kiters launch and there are great facilities there......toilets, big grassed area, BBQs and fresh water to clean gear with....

You are going to love PD and 4mile beach. Pleeeeenty of room and expect at least 20knots around this time at least until Nov. I hope you have a small kite too. There is even room for land kiting

I was thinking about 9/11/17. Any need for something smaller?
