I'm moving up to Mackay for a couple of months and am desperate to get out on the water asap (just moved over from UK and haven't had my gear for 3 weeks!) - any tips on spots and wind directions would be much appreciated!

The local shop up there is called Adrenaline rush. Joe and Mel the owners are top people and will be able to help you out. We kited at Town beach when we where there this year and it was an awesome place to kite.
y travel half way round the world to come to mackay?
Mackay is an awesome kite spot we have loads of dead flat water come to town beach arsa has a trailer set up they work out of, theres always someone riding there. Mel and joe r really nice theyll help u out with where and when to kite
