Reasonably comfortable with the front roll now 
Nice session at East Point this arvo. I now realise I am antisocial, could have stayed with work colleagues and got pissed or gone kitesurfing. No brainier really.

lol yep kitesurfing has that effect. I very frequently turn down social events if there is even a chance of wind

I'll be in Mackay on weekends for the next 12 weeks so if the wind is right I'd like to get out and about. I'm still fresh to the sport but eager to progress quickly. Where are the best spots here and is there any kind of kite surfing group around? Thanks. Sonya

Town beach if there is wind, which is not predicted for the next 12 weeks anyway.
Really really bad season here, but we now have a cable ski park as a consultation.

High at 2 so about 3.30 at Illawong should be sweet (2 km south of town beach)

Yeah, that was me. Thanks for the help, was not sure what I would have done if you were not there. Bridle snapped, then the kite started looping. In hindsight I probably should not have pulled the QR.
Who predicts a wind change for Sat and early Sun. I'm still deciding if I should make the 3hr drive back to Mackay for the weekend. Seabreeze says no but I want it to say yes
I reckon Sunday is looking ok, not sure if it will be worth a 3 hour drive though. From Tuesday next week it should be good.
There is something inherrently good about waking up and knowing that it is going to blow 20 kits for the next 2 days.
Nice casual session at Eastpoint yesterday.
Looks like this afternoons session will be even better.

Until the wind died when I was trying to cross the Pioneer back to the harbour where I left he car to avoid the low tide walk out

Out at Eastpoint with a few Sea Turtles yesterday, nicely powered session, only got out twice over the Xmas break. Next weekend is looking promising.
Hope you to two "Ercorn and Rails" are down having a go as I post this. I am not game to leave my house at the moment in case it blows away. Forecast moderate to fresh? More like fresh to frightening got up this morning and had to look to see if my shed was where I left it.

I rocked down to Mainbeach at 7am, went back home to get a smaller kite and by the time I got back down the beach the wind had gone.
Really sketchy now, but hoping to get a session this arvo.
Yesterday morning was epic, the afternoon was frustrating.
Epic Eastpoint session, big waves and good jumps. Really sketchy self land due to a big squall coming through around 6.30 pm
Thought I saw someone out there
