Packing up Sat late PM 16th Feb 08 at Shearwater Gold Coast QLD when my son was doing Gymnastics on the grass in front of the carpark and land one of his moves on his head! He went into shock after landing and thought I may have to take him to hospital but in the panic I forgot to pickup my board!! It maybe have drifted back into the water as I'm not sure if I beached it above the high tide line....so it may have drifted nth or sth of Shearwater. It's a white Liquid Force Proof model with some unusual repair work which I can describe if someone has found it and needs positive ID.

If anyone has found this board pls contact Jeff on 0412 744 308 or contact me here on this forum. many thanks....

Hey Jeff,

Haven't seen the board....but more importantly how is your son and how come he ended up hurt that badly that you might have needed to take him to hospital??

Hope you get your board back.

Thanks

The dreaded board gobbling Shearwater strikes again.

Jeff lost his and also Sam mentioned yesterday he lost his large twin tip in the channel earlier this week.

Tide was running out too quickly to be able to body drag back upwind to it.

I am sure there must be a huge pile of boards stuck in the mangroves somewhere.

Interesting point Fitzy, however scouring the mangroves wouldn't be an easy job. Oh well I wanted a more modern TT anyway. Not in a hurry to replace it yet.

Hey Caelah thanks for the concern - Ryan was fine in the end but we were very worried about him when his eyes started rolling back. Took him a minute or 2 to come out of it - lucky an old school friend was there with us and has been a GP for 25 years...so he responded very calmly to the situation which reassured all of us!

here is Ryan's youtube link if you would like to see his moves - he's pretty good!

I guess my board probably went back out into the high tide later that night if it wasn't picked up by a passer by on the beach where I left it...
