Have seen brief video of kiting on Wivenhoe - has anyone tried Somerset?

On google maps at the northern end the NW - NE looks fairly flat - so might limit the turbulence??

Anyway just a punt - will be going that way in a few weeks...

Cheers

Hey all. I am a newbie to kitesurfing and Somerset is just around the corner from me. If you are thinking of heading there would it be too much trouble to tag along?

Mate I just got my lazy arse off the couch to have a look at your video. If 2009 was the last time Wivenhoe was Kiteboarded, then your taking the piss aren't you.

I tried kiting somerset 3 times! failed on all accounts. It was too gusty one time and the other times launches were just to close to the trees to feel safe.
