If anyone wants to come for a ride around- IM at shearwater most days its over 8 knots. 3:30pm ish till dark!
Would love to have someone to force me to nail my duck tacks!!
CHEERS
Would love too but best kit I got for low winds is a Speed 3 12 and a twin tip, hope to see some windy weekends soon been waiting so long for the normal winds to return.
Brighton is so rough. Literally 4ft chop, i wanna race on better conditions personally.. There has to be a better place to race..
Caney Brighton can be terribly rough. But it can be pretty flat too, even right out in the bay. All depends on a combination of wind strength, direction, tide, and underlying bay swell (x factor?)
Suimike, got my race board yesterday. Have to learn to ride the thing now, but I'm keen to get into practise sessions and racing. Just have to be able to stay on it in all directions and I'm there. Of course last weekend was great, and today was minus 7 and westerly. Maybe tomorrow.
Brighton and Sandgate get a bounce back off the rock wall when the tide is above 1.7, during these times I head out between woody point and eventide.. Glorius!
gotta love the bounce off..... best place to practice cos if you can tack there you can tack anywhere. ![]()
