There were a few crab pots attached to big blue drums today at KFC. I was on the bar when i saw a dude (green and black kite) get caught on one of them - he looked like he pulled all safety's and the kite looped all the way down the beach attached to the blue crab pots. It was around 20knots and hit close to 3Oknots during that time. Hope he's OK and got his kite back! Anyone else see it?
Yeah, that was crazy. I was actually near by and was trying to see if the guy was still attached as the drum ripped straight past me.
Hopefully he is all good. 1 less illegal crab pot to worry about now I guess.
There was also a guy close to shore whose kite was death looping while he was trying to launch.
Thought he was going to get hauled onto the rocks. Turned into a bit of a rough day.
I wasn't there but whoever put the crab pots in the way is in the wrong and owes him for any damages to the kite plus lost time kiting. Hope there was a number on the barrels
