Howdy there QLDers...

I'm heading up your way on the 23 June and wondered if it's worth packing my kite? What's the wind like that time of year? I'll be staying at Burleigh.

Cheers!

Depending on how long you’re staying I would check the BOM 7 day forecast and decide on bringing your gear from what BOM predicts. Did that on a recent Thailand trip and it saved me lugging around gear on wishful thinking. Just got to cop it sweet if the wind blows up unexpectedly and maybe hire for a day.

Cheers guys. Sounds like a bit of a gamble. Might just bring surfboard and forget the kite gear. Lot easier luggage-wise!

And yep, I'll be in boardshorts - tropical for me up there!
