Hey lads Ive just sold all my windsurfing gear, had my first kite lesson, ordered some gear, going to be hitting all the local spots this summer, cant wait!
looking forward to saying hi to a few locals.
i live in Mermaid Beach so the goal will be to get it sorted so I can hit it out the front as much as possible.
I got jack of sitting on the beach with my rigged windsurf kit, not getting enough wind to sail, but watching kiters having a ball, so why not join em I say!
About time Mal, I saw some photos of you trying the dark side, now all you need to do is convert that crazy croation Zoran

Hey there Paul, the Z man will never come over to your team! Windsurfing is in his veins, he wears windsurfing socks, he has the windsurfing channel direct from Europe, he has a wind vain on the roof of his car wired to let him know its 12.75kn from the NE, he eats windsurfing cereal from Germany, he has a sticker on his car that says, "I windsurf and I vote",when he is not windsurfing he is ready to go windsurfing, all the time, oh thats right and he hates kiters!
Im sure he carries a pair of blunt tip but very sharp scissors to cut those dang strings. Every kiter is in his way. Just ask him!

hey mal can you get ed (my brother) to do the same!!! i need a kiting buddy and he doesnt get out enough on his wind surfer!!

I watched some lads off Nobbies on saturday roosting it up, I heard that the wind was a bit fluky for windsurfing, true or not, the lads at Nobbies were having a truckload of fun for sure.
Im just waiting for some gear to become available thru greenie, and get another lesson under my belt then its go time.

yeah mate i remember. think i even wind surfed with you a few times while i was learning before throwing it away for kite surfing.
i was away on the weekend but ed said he had an awesome afternoon at kirra saturday afternoon.
good decision on the lessons... something i should have done to begin with.
good luck with it and have a quiet word to ed when u see him! I've tried.
