Today was great at Shearwater. Way to many people crowding out Labrador and a couple of us had the place to ourselves! Seems like its back to the good ol days without worrying about people running into you in low tide!!

So true Dafunk...shearwater should be the training ground for beginner kiters. Good depth of water ,no starboard/port markers to get caught up on, nor any moured boats...plus a nice long sandy beach to launch and land from without the congestion of a small exit and entry point at lodders. Kira beach is another terrific location.

Haha i didnt even know about this thing. Yeh bit hard for him to do it in dawrin with sll the crocks and box jelly fish around. Should get him to practice on land with a skateboard. And a kite thats not 100 times to big for him.

Shearwater needs toilets and running water... What does the gold coast council do except for planting spikey trees...

hi all, my first post. just fin lessons with toddy (yes another noob) n so far lovin it. ill have to agree with glendog. I found it a little annoying hvin to trudge through mud n sea weed down at KFC. (not to mention other weird feeling things under the mud) but all in all it was great. I live in runaway bay so shearwater is like 5min from my house so next windy weekend ill come down to check it out n try to stay out of every ones way :)

Avoided both today, as all the above was so predictable....shredding at the neck, great 2 mtr swell, no crowds or learners, solid 25-30 and sunshine....EPIC!!
