brighton is bad at high tide but butter flat during mid tide. Sandgate is better at low and high tide but doesnt get as flat as brighton during mid.

Also the noosa river is awesome for sunny coast

Hello,

Same for me !
Just arrived in Caloundra...
And also looking for flat water !
I've heard about Caloundra, Maroochydore and Noosa as well but are there spots flat ?

Cheers

Cotton tree, golden beach in caloundra is awesome, just search along in google maps and look for anywhere that you can see a creek or river mouth

Thank you guys !
I spend all day refreshing the seabreeze page but it seems like the wind wont show up this week :(
Is seabreeze reliable enough or can I expect some wind even if the website forecast is bad ?
(Thermic winds ?, other website ?)

The joys of wind predictions...
You can try the BOM site but long term wind forecasts aren't reliable for brisbane.
The 3 main beacons to watch are the airport, Redcliffe and Inner Beacon.
After a while you will learn to interpret the forecast if you watch it enough.
