Hope to meet some more kiting gals soon!

Yes, as Briskites says, come up to Brighton! We are nice girls and always help each other out. See you there, wind is up!

How many girls are kiting? What age and levels are there. I am using my Dad's profile but thinking of having a go. I have sailed a bit before and think it looks cool.

Thanks,
Eliza

Hi Eliza,
There seems to be quite a few girls kiting now...def more guys still tho. I'm 34, have a friend who is in her 40s, but there seems to be all ages from teens up to 60s. You should def give it a go. I had never surfed/windsurfed etc but could get up (very briefly) in my first lesson, and can ride for about 50m in my 2nd. Feel free to message me if you get into it and we can meet at the beach (if u r local Sandgate/Brighton etc). My other gf and I tend to take one kite out between us.

Give it a go I reckon...it's fun!

My wife is just starting on a trainer and is hoping for a couple of lessons over the holidays. She will be learning at Sandgate and Brighton depending on wind direction. Every time i go to Brighton i notice a new girl on the water or on the beach which is great to see. Brighton is a friendly place to kite and progress so i guess thats why most girls kite there from Brisbane.
