So I took the afternoon off work yesterday as the wind was up - an amazing 13knots :-)
30 minutes of heavy traffic later I arrived at Vic Point, got about 25 minutes on the water. Managed to just stay upwind with my 12m Envy.
This was by far the best session in about a month or so.
Yes I'm desperate. I had 2 lessons at the tail end of summer and probably had about 10 sessions in total so far.

When will the seabreezes start in Brisbane? Mid Sept? Can't wait for a steady 15-20knots to actually do some kitesurfing not just frantically trying to sine the kite up and down in no wind.

Dont worry mate you will be literally sick of kiting by december, going by the weather pattern for this season. Brissy gets great consistent wind once spring starts. Those northerlies are awesome.

Coolcool sounds good.
Not been hiding just got work and family commitments also.
Had a few gusty westerly sessions, a few where the wind died after about 10 minutes and a couple where the forecast looked good but by the time I arrived at the beach there was 0 wind...
Mostly I was out on my own with some other desperados around occasionally.
can't wait for spring

I pay close attention to the seabreeze forecasts from about september. Make it my home page, read it every day, almost every few hours. That way i can inform family and friends that im kiting on certain days.

I find the wind much better this time of year at Sandgate/Brighton when the light NE-SE come through. I live at Manly, often we have very little and it will be rideable over the other side. Like Glen, I've had many sessions this winter too, I am pinned with work and kids - but I've need to drive for wind. Only had one day where I went over there and didn't get out.

This afternoon looks good - I've booked the half day off....
