Hello Friends (and possibly... lovers??) in Queensland.
I've got a trip up North planned and have noticed that the wind according to this and other sites are showing Cape Flattery often at zero knots (like for half a day at a time).
I just wondered if this is the actual case, or some sort of irregularity with the weather station up there.
Examples below:
Thanks guys!

Good pick up Salty. Looks like the station is fooked. If Cooktown nudges around 20knots and Flattery suddenly dies in under an hour, that's unheard of unless a giant water monster suddenly decided to do number TWOs in front of the radar!
When are you heading up? Winds are definetely on the up mate. Yorkey's should be pumping
Thanks Lofty! And thank buggery for that!
Heading up middle next week. Sounds like all the time I've spent feverishly trying to source a 19m kite were wasted!
Next (stupid) question from someone south of the boarder: At the moment, the water here is icey. If you're not wearing at least a 4/3, you won't last!
Are most kiters up there wearing light wetsuits? Or is it boardies all the way???
Here in Brisbane we are wearing 3/2 and it's warmth enough.
A few of the guys I ride with just came back from cooktown and they were all in board shorts...
Hope that helps.
