Hi All,

Im at Bribie island over the Christmas break and wondering if any one is keen on a kite over this way.
Don't really want to go out by myself in a place i've never been before.
Its on the Queensland kiting map so im assuming that it is kiteable.
Will be here till the 6th of jan.

Cheers
Michael.

I have only kited on Bribie at Bongara ? (not sure of the spelling) & its only good on a SW (offshore) - I know the on shore side is kite-able but also heard it can be pretty sharky ?

Short drive up to the Sunny Coast, far better spots to kite.

I've kited on the open surfside. Good little shore break to have fun in. It would work in anything from a northerly to a SSE. The beach can get narrow in places at high tide. I have never seen sharks on the surfside just dolphins right in close.
