hey guy sorry for the question if it is already covered but i couldnt find any info on it!

can someone give me some detailed pics and description of the hybrid kites that come with a bridle that can be changed to a 5 liner? i have been doing a little reading up on this and cant seem to find any great information on the manufacturers sites

i think it is the slingshot link that has this feature but im not sure exactly how many other brands do the same, any info would be great...thanks!

I think there'll be a few kites like this this year..
Look at the Flexifoil Ion2, I think the new Best Yarga too...I'm sure there are others...

Why do you want a convertable kite anyway?

thanks guys!

ill check ou these links and see what they show, from what i have read you can have a bow kite performance with the bridle and c kite performance by changing to a fifth line setup! this is interesting and really clever as some riders prefer the one over the other.

anyone used this stuff yet?

I think when you buy if you know which sort of kite to buy, then buy the one you need, hybrids do work but all seem to be having some sort of cross problem, I think next year we'll see dedicated either bows or c's..
as the c's this year have really great depower and range due to adjustable 5th line.
For all the hype reguarding bow's ahving more depower i don't think thats the case at all.
Flown a new c lately anyone??

go SLE if your new to kiting and arent that experienced, c kites are better wen u start kiting more agressively etc, the waroo and flow are great but waroo has less bar pressure, i found this a excellent kite and it really excelled my learning, i basically started on this kite after learning basics on a c and thought this is soo much better to get started on! honestly go into a SLE like the Waroo you wont regret it!

Being new to kiting doesn't mean you have to buy beginners gear. Depends on your back ground and your skills coming into the sport. anyone who can surf, wake, skate, snow or ski will usually have the balance and co ordination to ride easily. If your coming from out of field I'd say look for bow if not when you get a lesson your instructor should give you a better idea of where your at.
I still teach and sell c's as a first kite, not always depends on the individual and what sort of riding they'd like to do and there back ground. Most people don't realise the range and depower of new c's as they haven't tried them and advertisers are all aiming at bows for beginners.
have a lesson and try before you buy is my advice
good luck and good fun :-)

Ok, I recon it takes 15 min. to go from 4-5 and back on Flexi Ion2...and it is idiot proof. Each kite has 4 options, 4 or 5 line and 20m or 25m lines. Quiver of 2 kites thus gives 8 options.
