I rode the new SS Glide on the weekend, all I can say (plus everyone else that rode it) this board is awesome!!!!! The winds were than 10 knots and this thing was going up wind when rode with the Machine (17.5 and 25.5). Dave from Slingshot was riding it in about 6 knots with the 25.5 Machine. We had a 100Kg guy going up wind with in about 8 knots as well. The board is very slippery when off the edge due to the very small fins, it will be great for anyone wanting to learn sliding handle passes as well.

i had ago of the glide board aswell on my 16and the 17machine, swapped from a underground 122 to the glide and was cutting upwing like a demon when i was just holding groung / going downwind on the 122, It's bloody awesome for light winds... and feels un-natural when in light wind you finish your power stroke and expect to start sinking, but because of the large surface area of the board, you keep plainging down to like 3-4kts, untill your almost stationary, by which stage your halfway through your next stroke and going faster!
