Hi

I am about to have a crack at this kitesurfing, and have some lessons coming up in about 10 days. Can't wait!!!

Was wondering though which harness type to get. Reason for asking is that if possible i would like to get back into windsurfing as well, and was wondering if i could use the same harness?
I have been told that a seat harness is much better for beginners, and know that a waist harness is more suited to windsurfing, but are there any seat harnesses out there that could be used for windsurfing?

thanks
Simon

You missed one other. Impact Vest/harness.
This has the properties of a waist except it Doesn't ride up AND
it protects your ribs when impacting with water on crashes. Also provides bouyancy as a plus.

When you are learning, being yanked is normal and let me tell you, water is hard. I and many others have had cracked ribs from this.

Lastly you can use it for windsurfing too because it is like a waist harness.
There's a vest/harness for sale in the forum a the moment
