Thats kinda like asking what the best car is. You'll get 100 different answers with different reasons, and because at least 50% is related to preference, almost everyone is right.
Me, I like the Nova 2, 1:1 bow with high performance and all the niceties like 1 pump, high durability etc. These days, I tend to pick my kites a little more on durability because with a 1 kite for all conditions (or most) bow, your abuse is on 1 kite instead of 2 or 3. Maintenance like lines etc is something you can handle but bad stitching or material means more time off the water. 1:1 means bar pressure thats lighter than my wallet at the end of the month, and one pump means I can be a lazy ass ho with rigging and setting up.
Someone else will come along and give the same reasons for a completely different kite, or different reasons for the same kite. If you're a beginner and worried about your first kite, buy one of the reputable brands and you won't be disappointed. Switchblade 1/2, Crossbow 1/2, Nova 2, Waroo, Airrush Flow (avoid halo, more for advanced), Boxer SLE, etc etc and you'll pretty much be happy once you get used to it.
well it would have to be "BEST" because anyone who names theyre kite as "BEST" has to be the best kites around right??????????

Most kite maunfactuers are on a par these days, you really cant go wrong 
Bottom line you get what you pay for.

This is totally off topic, but what is it with american sport star names? Particulary wakeboarders. Shannon Best is quite tame, I mean like Parks Bonifay, Diage Shaw. Then theres the skiiers - Peekaboo Streets??
