I guess it's a bit late doing a review of a 2006 kite now that the 07's are out, and I'm not the best person to do a review as i'm into my fifties and am just a cruiser - not really interested in jumping and wake tricks-i just cruise around Boat Ramp at MR and drive down to Augusta when it's on. I bought the 3 for 2 deal off Best in 2003 and have had 11,13.5 and 16.5 Yargas since then. I was going to buy some Warroos off Best this year, but they stuffed me around with delivery dates, so I ordered a Monkeykites 12M Griffin which should be here in a day or so. But everything happens at once, and I met a Dutch guy who was on his way home and wanted to sell his 9 and 14M Warroos, only about 2 months old and the price was right. This afternoon the SE was on at Augusta so I drove down to check these Warroos out.
No problem self launching , and plenty of power with the 9M to get my 95kg up on a Delta AC Surf TT.
30 seconds later and I was stoked - with gusts to 35 knots didn't have any trouble staying in complete control , the upwind performance was just mindblowing compared to my old 2003 Yargas.
Geez I thought I was a useless old prick , but some of the edge the young guys have over me is the newer kites. It's amazing how much speed and directional control the depower function gives. I stayed out for a couple of hours and never had so much fun on a kite. Any other old codgers wondering about getting new kites- do it!!!

Its unfortunate that you got stuffed around by Best. I would suggest that you seek you local dealer as Best products are now starting to be stocked in most good kite shops around Australia. There is no need any more to deal direct. Support your local. by the way the kites have landed in the country.

I rode the Waroo 9m and the 12m. I dug it too. (I usually ride a 12M Switchblade). Nice Bar pressure, really fast kite. Stable. Wanna try the 14!!! the 12 Waroo isn't as powerfull as my cabrinha 12 Switchblade.
