Similar but completely different. They're both 5-line high depower C-kites, but they feel fly and react in completely different ways.
I love the Torch but can never quite get dialled into the Vegas.
You really need to demo both before buying the one you like the most.
In 2009 the Torch have much more bar pressure, and I hear the same goes for 2010. Some like it, some don't.
In 2009 the Torch had less bar pressure. In 2010 it increased.
Either way both the Vegas and Torch were very popular this year and you will struggle to find them in the most used sizes.
Myself cant go past the wind range and ease of use of the vegas , but still the torch is a great kite its just that everyone likes different things at this level of riding.My advice is try both if you can because they do feel different and particularly if you ride in the surf
