I've been riding my trusty steed for many years now and love it to bits but am starting to look at upgrading this summer. Can anyone out in webland give any advice on if they used to ride these and what they got onto next? There are so many kites on the market now all claiming so much it is hard to narrow. Details are as follows:
Location - northern beaches of Sydney
Weight - 85kg
Years riding - about 6
Wind range - 10 knots (on a surfboard) to 25 (on a twinny)
Riding type - a mixture of wave riding with a surfboard and freeriding with a twin tip. Don't do very much flat water.
What I liked about the obsession (although don't know any better):
Fast turning, powerful, great low end, good range
Only thing I didn't like was that it wasnt the best drifting kite.
Would love something that has similar characteristics that is good for wave riding and free riding.
Thinking maybe 12m North dice or Evo?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated to narrow the search down to a few I can test ride.
