Has anyone else had this happen? Any threads / recommendations / insight?
I've now had a total of 4 unintended disconnects of the North Iron Heart mechanism occuring with 3 seperate North 5th Element bars over a 2 year period. Twice was with a 2008 bar and twice with a '09 bar.
I've read about this happening to others but couldn't find any solid commentary when i searched the forums.
As you could imagine this can be a dreadful event under the right conditions...

Been using 2008 bars extensively this season and never had a unintentional disconnect , From what I've seen and heared the North system is one of the better ones.just curious what were you doing when you became disconnected? big crash ,trying to hook back in after riding unhooked ????
