Any happy campers with 06 matrix 11m ?
what are they like in the surf compared to waroo or sonic?
I want one of the above kites but which one as they all look pretty darn good !!

I have an 11m sonic, i am 76 kilos. an amazing kite for alround riding. doesn't like anything under 13 knots but still ok in 25. its a simple kite with light bar pressure. don't be fussed with all the technicals of the tuning as some people say its hard to achieve the right setting, thats all crap, just put it up and go, trim it as you would on any other kite. quality of materials not 100%, but fantastic kite to fly. you pay for what you get, if you want top quality you'll have to spend more money. Overall I give the sonic the thumbs up, go for it and you will not be disappointed. the water relaunching capabilities is absolutely amazing and a godsend when your out in the middle of set waves. good luck.

And personally own a Matrix 13.5m 06.
between the Waroo and Sonic it will pretty much come down to how you like the look of the kites, personally.
The Matrix is a standout kite in build quality and performance and tune-ability.
I was out on my 13.5m yesterday and surviving high 30's squalls. so don't worry about depower issues. As for performance, you need to think about what you really want your kite to do, and try them yourself. It will be down to your own personal style that determines things like Boost, Hang time, unhooked Wave riding etc.

11m matrix is the absolute dogs ******. great wind range, awesome unhooked, wicked in the surf and great for freestyle too. all this and looks great plus one of the best construsted kites around.
you wont be disappointed
