Hey,

Anyone ridden these two boards? Whats the differences between them? Flex, comfy ride in chopped up water, performance, pop etc. Are they in any type of range i.e like beginner and advanced or just two different boards from LF. The write up on the recoil sounds as though they've really looked at flex patterns for this year?!?! How do they compare with the Nobile boards?

Also, whats the havoc/assault kite like for popping wakestyle tricks? I've found it harder with bridled kites to pull big raileys etc in past but have heard good things about this havoc kite.

Cheers

Bazz

Hi I have an Element 134cm 06 model its a wakestyle board , got a fairly pronounced rocker line . In flat water takes a lot to drive it . In choppy water sits down and is a comfy board. I ride an Udergeound and they are so responsive and feel dynamic underfoot . There are those who like the Elements so they must be OK but a different ride to the Underground .

07 Recoils have 2 versions - those made by cardboards and those made by LF in the States. Both cuts upwind really well. I personally prefer the American one, seem to ride smoother in the chops. 07 Element has great graphics, pops better than ever!

The Havoc is not a kite one will ride for the first time and say wow - but give it a few more rides it will become the best kite you ever ridden. Our wakestyle riders' favourite without a doubt. The Assault on the other hand is stable as. Both kites are very well made and made with style and strength.

We have both boards and kites in stock, new and demo. Check out website for pricing, or if anyone wanna test them in Brisbane, give us a call.

Hi Padi,

I'm actually in the uk so i'll pass on that offer of a demo.

how does the comfy ride in gusty conditions on the flexi ion 1 (which i've ridden alot) compare with the havoc. i ant something that gives me back more of my wakestyle but don't want to be yanked about in gusty conditons as were not blessed here in uk like you guys? ha ha - sob!

Is the assault 2 still good for wake?

I was even thinking about getting a 9m assault 2 for blasting days and then the havoc 12 and 14 for steadier lighter days for wakestylie.........any thoughts or will the havoc be sweet in gustier strong winds?

cheers

Baz,

Long time....

The Havoc is a great kite for wakestyle, the LF riders down here in SA ride the 10m and 14m most of the time and they prefer to rider the Element, it is the best board that LF have ever made. The Havoc will relaunch like a bow or sle and also has the depower.

The Recoil is pretty close to a Nobile, loads of pop, nice flex etc. Only thing I noticed is that you can't place wakebindings unless you use the Escalades on it unlike the Element where you can.

Last time I saw you you were riding Naish.....

padi,
Is there any weight difference between the recoil made by cardboards and the US one?
