"The Vapor has been recieving jubilant reviews from around the globe. We were keen to find out how the kite would meet its promise of blending the direct feel of a classic kite with the versatility of an SLE.
The bar we especially liked. The Vapors cleat , unlike some others , was smooth and didnt trap the line.
The canopy on the Vapor looked remarkably tight and smooth in the air and the kite felt very bouyant in that it had no trouble flying up - despite flukey winds
We passed the kite around to a few riders that were out that day on larger kites and they all said the same thing .. "that kite is so nice - very easy to fly" - and "is it really only a 10? "
sending the kite up for a jump whipped us up with considerable force - our predicted mediocre session was fast turning into something of a real hoot.That we were having fun on this 10 while those on 12m SLE kites were struggling cannot be overlooked.
The stability of the vapor really impressed us. The quick release switch is a revelation - i personally would have no qualms about hitting that in a split second since it is so easy to set up again.
The Vapor is aimed into the middle ground of Aspirational kiters - it is most refreshing that Airush have bridged the gap between beginner friendly / freeride SLE kites and the high performance competition kites - not by adding lengths of line and pulleys but by taking away. 18 months ago who would have thought that would be the answer?"
