I need to upgrade my harness to something more comfortable. Have 3 sitting in the shed now. Not sure whether to go with waist or seat (I guess personal preference), but if it is waist, one that doesn't try and ride too far up.
Any suggestions? Anybody know of any particular harness that fits firm and still comfortable?
Regards

I reckon the Gaastra Kite Waist harness is a super comfortable harness. It doesn't just clip in which kinda sucks, you need to tighten it up each time, but once on it's super comfortable and has a super comfy spreader bar pad.
The Dakine Tabu is another super nice harness too. I had a Pro limit pro-waist? before my Gaastra harness and it was so ****. The clip never seemed to go in properly and would pop out at times, then when you wanted to get the thing off it would never come undone. Piece of crap if you ask me.
The two above are the sickest though.

Cheers Jeff,
Will have a look at them.
Pretty hard to know how a harness is going to go until you have tried it on the water for a couple of hours.

we met a guy in fiji who had those shorts/harnessy thing in one...
he said he couldnt body drag in them properly... that the water kind of rushed though his pants and kind of grounded him... not sure exactly what he meant by it... but was cursing the fact that he didnt have his old waist harness with him though

Never have a problem body dragging...

Never have a problem with the hook, sits at perfect level...

Dont get any chafe...

Dont get any wedgey's...

Dont get any ball crushing moments...

Dont have to wear anything under neither them in summer, however I do wear a wetty in winter and again no problems with that either...

You dont get the annoying spreader roll over into your ribs situation...

I've had soo many harness's and this is by far the best one yet...

regards browneee

Dakine Tabu have to be the most comfy.. they dont ride up and offer lots of padding. Also have a look at the new liquid force harness they look really good again with lots of padding and a new design ive heard good reports on these..
