Still deciding what kite to fly this season.

Anyone suggest a preference for the flow vs halo?

Looking for good upwind, wind range, high floating jumps, and depower and.. maybe, quick turning.... nothing more :)

Hi Hawaii,

depends on your riding preference. The two kites offer very similar properties, with a couple of exceptions.

The Halo is more tricky to fly and can be awkward for some people if you are not used to pulleys on the bar, buit it has a level of performance the Flow can't match for pure boosting height.

If you ride at a high level and don't mind putting in the time and patience to get to know the kite really well it's great fun. It is not a very good freestyle kite and it is good but very demanding in the waves. I still love mine but now I only use it for going orbital on jumps in strong winds.

I choose to spend most of my time riding waves and so use the new Flow SLE. It has even conjured a modicum of interest for me in freestylin again. The Flow is just plain sweet fun to ride, really easy and bags of general performance that you were describing. Unless you ride at a high level or only want to sky insane jumps, go with the Flow, a much more well rounded kite and just plain joy to ride in all conditions.

Hope this helps,
