Looking for advice on a good 8-9 m kite for foil board.wanting to upgrade my 2012 8m North rebel.whats peoples opinions from a foil boArd point of view?
Do you want to go the foil kite route ? ozone Chrono or Flysurfer Speed are great freeride kites and will give you much improved upwind performance than LEI. Race kites incl Sonic FR, F One Diablo and R1 are more more race focussed and more technical to fly. Otherwise any LEI will work if you just want to mess around. I must say I prefer the higher AR kites like the aforementioned foil kites or Ozone Edge / Flysurfer Boost style over my BWS Noise wave kite. They tend to complement the foil board more imho.
Just thinking out loud, I'd really like to try on of the BRM Clouds with the foil board. Greg from BRM seems to be onto something there, and if you notice in the Horue vids, Philippe is riding a Cloud too. But to prove a point, have a look at Marc Blanc in this 2011 vid. Think about how much kites have continually evolved over the last 4 years - perhaps the the foil board is a great equaliser.....
