Anyone have this board and can comment on it?
At the moment my light wind/ tiny waves board is a North nugget, but I 'm not a big fan of the very wide tail. I was thinking go the Epic one for small conditions and maybe I could keep it as the one board for all.

Hi haluchine,

Firstly the disclaimer bit..I sell Epic gear in the UK

But I have to say what a great board this is for light winds/strapless/onshore mush etc It's also a great board for freeride up and down the coast, rocking upwind easily and in very light conditions. I've had one of these in my quiver for a few years now and it gets plenty of use here especially during our summer.

Also after a few years use it's still in excellent condition so pretty tough!

I've got plenty of vids on the ATV
two of them here :

Thanks Blaskite! Nice videos. I had a look at your shop website. You sell other brands as well, how would you put the Reef 5'7" compared to the other wave boards you sell? Isn't it heavier than other ones? I'm a 74 Kg surfer going mostly strapless when kiting, looking for the one board for most conditions. The wind usually blows under 20 knots where I ride, rarely over that.

Yeh we sell a few, the Axis pure wave is nice board too and quite corky so does well in light winds also. We have demo's of most of the boards and I guess the fact I have kept using the ATV says a lot for it.
These are the two I usually go too the most and also for strapless.

Sometimes it may be weeks or even months between sessions but then I'll have a spell of using it loads in lighter or more onshore conditions....summers coming for us and it will be sure to get used loads then. I get people asking all the time how I'm able to go in such light winds on XXXX kite and the truth is this board really helps so much.

Thanks Blastkite. I will go get an Epic reef, sorry I don't get it from you but I am quite far from UK.

Lol I think the carriage on a surfboard would be huge.
Post up your thoughts after a few sessions!!

Ps I've only ever used the ATV as a thruster not as a quad, I simply prefer the feel of thrusters

I'm going to get mine in a few weeks. I was wondering if I can change the look it, to personalize the decoration. Can I sand the board and re paint it ? I can't see on Epic website if there is some fibre glass on top of the wood veneer. I guess there is some to maintain a minimum of construction cohesion. Anybody tried to changed to replace the decoration properly?
