Darko 2010 vs Lunacy 2009

Got an opportunity to grab a basically new, either 09 Lunacy $400 or a 2010 Darko $500 (both 132cm).
Ride in small chop/ flat conditions - 82Kg - Average kiter - Jumps, loops, ugly unhooked but trying!
Thinking of going the Darko? Anyone tried both?
Anyone interested in one or the other? could get both and share freight (drop me an email if interested).

That's a good price on both those boards, the darko was the first SS board with the fast track system but i haven't ever seen one. One thing is the SS boards are built like a brick ****house and ride like one to, not to forgiving on the body but amazing pop and can handle very hard landings. The only lunacy i have ever seen break in half was Jordy's last year, when he took off the foot straps there were massive indents from his heals landing hard on his megaloops.

To answer your question cause clearly Waxy hasn't.....

The DARKO is Slingshots Freestyle board aimed towards Intermediate to Advanced riders (so this excludes WAXY.... lol - joke). It is the first of SS boards to offer FASTRACK. FRT construction which delivers an advenaced, smooth, steady yet explosive pop. The DARKO also has a Tunnel Concave which provides better bite on the rail.

The LUNACY is SS board for Experts and Advanced Freestyle/Wakestyle. The profile is pretty square with a flat bottom. Pretty aggresive board.

I think you'll do better with the DARKO than the LUNACY, especially the 09' model.

Cheers guys. I have ridden the 09 Lunacy.
Liked the grip on landings, ease to generate pop, loved the bottom end.
Disliked it in the chop, stiff landings on heavy loops, some spray in your face.

Does the Darko lose much bottom end with its narrower tips? that's probably my main concern.
