I am only hearing positive things about this kite but have read that the 14m is equivalent to an 18m c kite. I currently ride 12m and 16m o5 rhinos- will a 14m vapor replace these ? Any more feedback from those who have ridden them ?
Flying profile of Vapor looks pretty cool and I would concure that bow style kites generate more power in light winds than C's.
I flew a Vapor at Kitestock and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Currently use bow style for light winds, hybrid and C for moderate, and bow for high wind and waves.
What was the bar pressure and upwind capability like- can you compare it to something else. I have ridden the naish boxer, rebel and the new rhino.
I hate to make a judgement on only 20 min. ride.
The bar pressure is light compared to Rebel and I recon the upwind is very good. Surely someone with a Vapor will comment.
We have a demo 10m vapor that we're giving a good thrashing to here in the 'ville. Bar pressure is light, really light. And for me and the style i ride, i'd probably say too light. But you don't get your arms ripped off. It's speed is amazingly fast and the kite itself turns on a dime. Which is great for the freestyle riders. It boosts massive floaty jumps with a long hangtime. Definately the highest i've ever been which kinda scared me a little.
However, the low end on the kite is not that crash hot, pulling about a C size below. And when performing a loop, the kite has a constant pull. Not a yank which is sometimes required to pull you out of a move.
I liked the vapor and so does a lot of the lads here. And one of the team riders uses it in his comps. But this kite isn't for me. I will stick to the flow purely for its grunt in the loop.
Hope that helps, but remember it's only my humble opinion. I'm not a team rider or anything.

Thanks heaps- I am getting a bit impatient, a demo is on its way and I am very keen to get out on it !!!
10 vapor bottom end seems about the same as the 10m flow from what i've seen....just need to get the apparent wind going....
and the 10m flow has much more bottom end than a 10m c-kite...
???max_ob. 10 flow and 10 vapor has the same bottom end. Were you riding the same kites as me? No offense dude. And you can get apparent wind from any size kite. Doesnt make it fun to ride or worth your time.
Tested a 12m today in 10/13kts conditions, it has great feel even in marginal conditions. Turns in a very controlled manner and once you get going, it generates power with great stability. Top marks and highly recommended.
ive had a lil run on one, i thought it was nice compared to my waroos, but there is virtually no bar pressure which takes a bit of adjusting to get used to. i heard the 5th line can alter the bar pressure from matt, im definitly keen to give it another run though just for the fun
hi guys
been flying all sizes last couple months alongside flows. 1st thing is that Vapors need to be ridden quite fast- once you do this they generate a huge amount of power whilst flying really far forward in the window, swapping between a 10 Vapor and 10 Flow you notice more of an inital pull on the flow(better for intermediate or slower riders) with it sitting further back in the window but once you get the Vapor up to speed it generates more power and flying further forward allows you to fly upwind.
bar pressure can be tuned on the 5th line as little as 2cm adjustment and you can notice more or less(less 5th line) bar pressure
where i have found the Vapors to really excel is in onshore wave riding where when the kite is falling through the window as you are riding down the line, as you smack the lip you can just sheet out which sends the kite zipping to edge of window where you can sheet in to crank your bottom turn and hit the next section. in more sideshore conditions it also performs well unhooked,10m on converese 6'2 and im going in 10knts nicely powered in 12, with the 7 comfortable up to 35 on a twinnie, making it for me the best ive been on yet.
happy kiting
