Gidday guys, I'm just getting into unhooking on my 12m Turbo Diesel, but find there to be a heap of power when doing so. Is this the norm with the Vegas too, or is it just the bow design? They sound excellent, worth an update ya reckon or should I start doing pull ups!

I rode fuels before and reckon the Vegas is much easier to be unhooked, but can't compare it to any of the bows.

But remember it's the same power pulling you along, and you still have to hold yourself up. So whether it's a bow or a c you still have roughly the same force on your lines/arms.

make sure that you are not oversheeting the kite when you unhook and stalling the trailing edge. this will suddenly make the kite feel real heavy through the bar as it slows down and all the wind gets trapped. can happen on c kites as well but more likely on bows due to the larger range on the depower rope. make sure you pull on the depower so that you are riding with it almost to the chicken loop before unhooking and keep the kite low.
personally much prefer riding unhooked on c style kites. the new wipika matrix is the nuts!! not tried vegas though
