Anyone got any comments about this kite? I'm switching from PL foils & a number of crew have suggested this kite. Am keen to hear any feedback.
thanks

Tried the 8m Park in 18-20 knots at leighton a couple of months back now when i was weighing up which kite(s) for my new 2011 quiver. Was looking at a 8 and 12 quiver.
Im coming from RPMs and REVs and have a few seasons under my belt now.
I was after a C'ish kite that was still easy to handle, wanted a refined rpm really.
Found the Park super fast and super light (bar pressure) its a really easy kite to fly, initially I had the bar pressure on the lightest setting and found it was was way too light and fast, changed it to the heaviest (or second heaviest?) setting and felt a little better.
The park felt super refined and took the gusts very well. Easy to work the kite through the lulls as the kite produces loads of apparent wind.
in 18-20 i was in the lower range of the kite for me (80kgs), no big boosts but still having fun.
Good upwind and great pull through the turns.
The bar was really the show stopper for me, didn't have a through the bar swivel to untwist the lines after a loop or backroll etc. (Im a bit of a Gumby and cant do all tricks both ways ; ) Well that and the want to for more bar pressure.
I ended up going for 2011 Ozone C4s (8 and 11) and am very happy. It has the ability to increase the bar pressure to assist with new tricks and i guess the best bit is if you want to cruise around its very well behaved however once you unleash it its a whole new story.
If you want a go of the C4 give me a yell.
Cheers
Ben
There are 3x bar pressure options on the Park so there will be an option to suit all riders.
No swivel because swivels don't work and the Naish bar is set up to allow multiple rotations where the front lines don't twist & the safety will still operate.
I put a Kiwi mate who normally flies ARC's on my Parks for a few days and he was hooked.
If your mates own Park's why don't they lend you one for a try?
Yes the park has bridle adjustment for bar pressure, however I still find that it didnt provide enough pressure in the heavier setting. at times when I'm trying new moves I prefer to increase the pressure and slow the kite down.
the swivels never work as smoothly and easily as you would want but at least you have the option to unwind by hand. (with assistance)
Yes I would say that the heavy on the park is equal to mid on the c4. I ride my c4s on the mid usually.
As for the low end...The 8ms seem about the same. The 2011 c4 does have a noticeable increased bottom end compared to the 2010 c4. (not a huge amount but 1 or 2 knots maybe)
The low end on my 11m is around 15knots (80kgs and TT)
The rear line settings on the Park wont really change the turning speed, you need to switch the bar ends to the smaller setting.
Pfffffffffft......are u serious???? Loop it u pansy. How the **** do u crush your hand?
