Hi Guys,

We had been using Airush Prototypes in the school for the last two years (Yes, they have been playing around with single strut kites for that long ).

We had a 6m the season before last and last year had a 9m. The 6m was the best relaunching kite we had ever used and it flew really well, it was every instructors fave kite for teaching.

The 9m was a wierd beast with a leading edge so thick you could almost stick your head in the wingtips. It flew well and was fun. Certainly good for teaching and maybe fun in the waves (didn't try), they do work in 6 and 9m sizes, I'll be interested in how the 12m goes.

Trailing Edge flap will be the critical thing I think as TE flutter destroys the kites early on, but I know Airush are well aware of this so have probably found a fix for the production models.

Sweet new innovation! I hope it has one pump

Saw a 9m over Easter and it looks quite impressive, so much so there could be one in the quiver this year.

No trailing edge flutter from memory. Bloody huge leading edge though.

The guy told me it had a huge wind range, and only needed one kite quiver!!!

Get one 62 so I can try it. I promise that I will return it.

HAAK, you know you will never be a one kite quiver kiter, a one kite quiver is about as realistic as having one wife for life ( Hi Erica )

So if the leading edge is big, does that mean it flies slower?

ive used it to teach before... its actually a very stable kite and very predictable.. tons better than the DNA's were. didnt fly too slow for it's size but it wasnt a rocket either... i used the 9m..

and no you cant demo it its only for cool kids.

hey guys, kited with american instructor on rote island in august . he was using airush single strut, probably 13 or14 metre no markings on it , it had full sle, leading edge was similar to fuel diameter but was sectioned and constructed from very plastic materials. similar shape to ? north but swept further back at wingtips . was extremely light for its size. mid aspect . he was using 6 '10 quad @nembrala in offshore dodgy winds. very stable although can see they are still working on the canopy materials. generated lots of speed down the line. canopy was solid . no flutters or backwinding and leading edge depowered.drifted very well . looks like a good light wind surf kite. he was struggling to stay up wind in patches. no way you could get a fuel out in those conditions.
