Plummet said..1950 said..speed when jumping foils looks like most important factor. smooth action also.
today tried "little bit back past the zenith". then guy from beach sad me to pop when feel lift from harness, not earlier.
i was poping too early, and not sending kite at zenith, or bit back.
i would say best jump was 2sec hang. i did not count but i had time to spot landing.

15-17kts.
very happy with results
Yep. Speed is your friend. Go as fast as you can while still being able to load and pop. Also a kicker is your friend too. Time your high speed pop with an approaching wave and BOOOOM!. It doesn't even need to be very big. even a little 6" piddler will send you 50% higher.
PS 15-17 is a sweet boosting wind for the 15m s 3
15-17 is for doing floaty sent rotations and transitions, old school. 20 plus is for boosting

I can't figure out what's going on in that video... Looks like you're not loading up the kite, and just sending it, and it's yanking you up and down to splash.
Using a kicker is effective IMO cos you can storm into it at full speed and just lean back, holding your line and sending the kite. Releasing your edge is almost done for you. Flat water boosting is harder because you have to do the hard work.
By way of training, I suggest practicing on land... The Progression landboarding DVD has a good exercise that is basically sending the kite from 11 to 1, leaning back into the harness from your heels then letting the kite pull you up as it crosses the zentith. Increase the aggresiveness of the send and how much you sheet in to increase height. Just be ****in careful.
Cant find a YouTube of it, but it kinda looks like this:
Good hang time is going up, spotting someone on the beach having a BBQ, shouting "hey cook a sausage for me too bitches!", then reaching the apex
