Hi All
Heading to Greenhead for the long weekend and wondering if anyone has some good spots for 2 newbies

Looking for long beaches with not too many reefs or rocks.

Thanks in Advance

I've kited Greenhead a few times and the waves break on the reef a k or so out so I reckon it should be ok for a newby near the beach.
There's a few cray boats there so if you keep to the north
of them should be ok. There are a couple of Greenhead local kiters who I'm sure will give you better advice than me.

Enjoy!

Just off Bingham rd it's at the south of town, a large bay with flat to chop, walk south to launch as it's straight onshore next to car park , not a bad spot for general cruising,

Also north , head past the cray boats, there's a 4x4 track that takes you down

Dynamite bay is in the foreground it's the large bay in the distance, very similar to the southern spot for riding, apart from 2 wave spots( when there's swell)
Some nice wind up here atm

I was up there a few weeks back, if you have a 4x4 you can drive up the beach north from the boat ramp up towards point louise, and launch of your tow ball of car.. its straight onshore... I don't think the locals are use to kiters on the beach there.. we where setup on the beach with plenty of room for ppl to drive around the back of us.. few ppl came around the front and drove straight over my bar... its a decent kite out to the surf.. in the bay is a good flat water spot not to choppy.. it was 25knts + for us..
