i have seen guys out kitesurfing. It looks slow and boring compared to windsurfing. Why would anyone kite when they could be windsurfing ?

pain don't hurt !

hey matressbuster ,
next time youre busting your matress with your boyfriend,
put your teeth back in , put your glasses on , look out the window down the beach at the boys boosting "60feet" while your fellow old men are bragging about thier "6 foot" jumps. You will now be suitably impressed !

you were fishing for a bite --- you got one

mattressbuster posted the same topic in the windsurfing section except bagging up windsurfing instead of kitesurfing.

After 15years of windsurfing I gave it up 2 years ago for kiting, Windsurfing is great if you are able to get up to Gnarloo, anything else aroünd Perth is a waste of time.
Any one want some real cheap windsurfing gear?

Whatever became of 'flyingwhiteboy' and his 7M Warrior ????
Some interesting forum banter surrounded that login.

I recall LMAO at 'hangtimes' 2nd reply.
Outing anonymous avatars was a sport 2nd only to kiting way back then.
An outing as hard-hitting as that scored the full 6 pts.

Just had a play with the history.
Available forum posts I could find only go back to 30/7/03.
The 'hornets nest' post above is dated 11/07/03 ??? and Im pretty sure it wasnt the first.
A bit of history lost in cyberspace somewhere there.

I seem to recall the forum starting earlier in 03 than July??? Maybe Feb or March??.
And I think the first post was from login 'shannon' of "FireaWAy" fame.
Producer of 2 of the most iconic kite vids ever.

Reckon kiting owes a heap to the SB forum. Its such a big part of the game.
Reckon we should have a 10th anniversary celebration - Laurie's shout
