Hello,
I'm trying to decide whether its worth going to Gerladton/Coronation bay for my only holiday this year.
Attached below was one of my favourite sessions ever at Mauritius, trying to do it again in Aus.
Want to get the best kite/wave session over xmas possible. Any suggestions?
Can any W.A. guys let me know what there top 3 wave spots are on that side of OZ?
Heard by word of mouth Coronation Bay is awesome.
Other place on that side would be Margaret River.
I'm in victoria; Torquay, Sandy point and Warnambool are my alternate, closer destinations.
Would love to get some input.
Cheers.

Can put you in touch with mick Stephan who organises it, drop me a pm

christmas is not a good time of year for reliable wind or swell at gnaraloo. better to stay further south if you want to kite waves that late in the year.

Have you got a website link please?
yeh gnaraloo is not a spot for xmas. hot, flies, windy and no swell.
Corros has multiple breaks, depending on if you have 4wd or you just tack or do down winders.
wind is consistant, swell bit of a chance that time of year.
Dongara also garanteed wind, but swell maybe not.
South is opposite, should get swell, wind may be fickle. Was down margs area last year that time, graphs show light winds, was howling every day. so never know what Huey is going to dish up.
You coming over solo? if so just rent a 4wd from perth airport and watch conditions. then either book accomodation north or south dependin g on what forecast is.
I know of spots like ur photos north and south where you can backdoor into barrels as good as there or lakeys if the conditions turn it on.
years of exploring, watching, hunting, trying, risking, surfing and kiting. knowledge not for sale...
go find for yourself, there are so many spots to kite.

Hi, thanks for input. Just booked two weeks in Margaret river.
Having had a look into it andComing with my non kiter girlfriend, there may be more for her to do around margs (vineyards/boutiques etc).
As i will kite by myself would actually prefer a few more mainstream spots so as to have a few fellow kiters out, hopefully to have someone keep an eye out if i get into trouble. . Any breaks around other than Marg's you know of , let me know.
thanks!
