Haha , yeah. I stopped windsurfing at Pt McDonnell SA in winter when I sailed in 30-40 kts westerly and it hailed.
Big , black gnarly winter southern ocean swell . At one point my gear was blown somersaulting downwind.
I thought , you idiot ...no one else about.
Got worked coming in on the reef 1 k downwind
I was literally blue when I got out of the wettie and swore never again in winter.

Meanwhile in Darwin .... 18- 25 kts this morning and about 24 degrees. Cool for us.
Got a bit cold actually and cursed my self for not wearing the spring wettie.
