We are coming into winter squally session. Will there be wind and waves? Yes. But when?. It's unpredictable. You might be monster wind and waves or you might get nothing.

Thanks for the info guys!

I was hoping for something semi-tropical if possible?

Anyone been to Fiji this time of year?

But would still love to hear any other suggestions, maybe someone has knowledge on spots in the Pacific?

Thanks again

True, but if it's on you score.
Later in the year is better, looking forward to heading over again.

Your right. When its on it on and that is quite often. Its just less predictable in winter. But man we get some awesome storms that bring big swell.

Check out ngamotu island. perhaps the bws boys can help they hang our there quite often. I think the "season" for trade winds is in a couple of months time. But have never been to Fiji this time of year.

Though i did do a some research on kiting waves in the tropics and came to the conclusion that the best thing to do would be to grab a seat at the last minute and travel based on a good forecast. picking a date in 1 months time could see you sitting on a windless beach.

East coast of Taiwan is not bad. Water temp. 20-25 deg.C, air temp. 20-30 deg.C, uncrowded surf.

If you need help in Taiwan, drop me an email.

Hi There,

Indonesia in full action is also good to do. Check out these places: indokitecamp.com/ and then there is one : www.seabreezekiteclub.com/ . These rock!

Then Mauritius is good but really not for beginners. Too shallow. One eye I mean.

Go and have a blast on your choice.

.Mauritius is the place! Awesome waves and windy everyday, 18-30 knots. Great choice of waves for all levels. I'm going there in June-July-August this year for the 3rd year in a row and have a 2-bdrm flat to share over that period. Cheap and super comfortable. PM me if you would like more info! Cheers
