Self plugging here, but that's a bit of footage of me below mucking around so you can get an idea of what stuff you can do.
I don't generally ride a regular wakeskate but I have done it before quite a bit, only problem is they tend to be a bit slow. Some of the older bigger wood skates were better for kiting especially if their rocker had flattened a bit. Best bet is to buy a custom one or make your own. Cab, Airush, Tona all make (or made) wakeskates specific for the kite, the Tona by far being the better one of the lot although the Cab is still pretty decent. For myself though they all feel far too big.
