Hey Everyone, good day today over at Stoney Island in Bowen. Practicing Kiteloops. Lucky we had a boat with us as it all went downhill shortly after. Kites taking off out into the ocean, Few inverts. Lucky we didn't meet the Gatekeeper (4m Tiger shark that gets around Stoney) Floating around waiting for rescues.

Many crocs?

yep definatly a great spot as long as you have a backup plan. Its an island a couple of km of the mainland. We went by boat and downwinded back to the front beach which is the other main kiting spot. A lot of people kite over, takes around 45mins if your quick. No crocs but theres apparently a 4m tiger shark that's been patroling the area for years.

i did a trip up there around this time last year.
Kited of saddle back island out from dingo beach it was unreal. Need boat support though.
Also spent a day at Conway wicked shallow water and constant wind.
Will do another trip up next year and will drop in to Bowen to kite with you guys.
I want to try Alva also looks great.

Sounds good mate. Yeh alva is an awesome spot aswell. Has a sand bar out in the ocean that goes for miles. And a nice park and bbq area to relax around

Alva has been cranking , little bit strange for June, lot of south in it Atm counted 18 kites in the air sunday awesome.
