Hi guys,
Should I change it ASAP, or it could be a solution to cut the seat part and use it as a waist harness.

Does the warranty could work for that ?

Thx

No, that harness should last a few more sessions. can always take it to a saddlery and get them to sew it up for you

I'm an absolute pansy, so my thoughts are "If the thing that's meant to connect me to the kite is torn and broken, then i'm not using it anymore".

Just curious, are you boosting at all?

In fact, not really.
That was not that worst at the beginning but it become worster after every session now.

Only the seat part is broken, the rest is absolutely good.

Weigh up whether your worth more than your trashed harness if it gives way in strong wind on the beach, passing boats, obstacles that could cripple or kill your cheap arse !!

You decide

Apart from the obvious danger of rectal trauma if that's all the damage there is, its superficial. The webbing which actually holds you in goes around the waist area. My seat harness busted around the leg part only to reveal that the leg strap webbings weren't even connected to the waist strap, just sewn into the cover material, totally unexpected. Been using it like that ever since.

Get a nice bit of brown seat belt webbing and hand sew it together, will look like an awesome skid mark and restore your virginity.

I've been contacted by Will from auswind, flying object distributor in Australia. They will replaced it under warranty.

As a side note:

The tattoo you have of the statue of liberty on your arm is a depiction of the actual statue which was a gift from France to America in 1886.

In 1830 a French painter by the name of Eugene Delacroix painted a protest painting called "liberty leading the people" during the French Revolution and stated "if I cannot fight for my country, I will paint for her". There is a lady in the painting who was the inspiration of the Statue of Liberty, giving rise to controversy that the statue actually stands for liberty via revolution. Interestingly the band Coldplay used the painting as part of their cover art for the album 'viva lavida' with graffiti over the painting, which back in 1830 the French art critics wouldn't have minded because they reported that although the painting is strong in character, the subjects look "a bit too dirty".

Cool Tat!

Thanks mate.
I know that, because I'm French, and I lived few months in NY.
Actually the statue was also built in part by Mr Gustave Eiffel, yeah the same as the Eiffel tower ;-)

^^^

That I did not know!!!

I must admit that my seemingly extensive knowledge of this subject comes from Craig Shufton who is a journalist on Triple J radio that educates us mere mortals with great information just like this!

Ask me about anything at all! (As long as it has to do with Eugene deloquix, Richard vagner, or any of the other great artists and composers that have been reported on by "the shuf")
Anything outside of that and I'm as dumb as dog s**t!

But it's still a nice tat!

I broke my np harness two weeks ago , it was only a year and a half old snapped the seat belt type material that connects the spreader bar to the harness clean in half with no warning ,was boosting 5 minutes earlier , scared the crap out of me when it let go , needless to say I got drilled when it happened and then dragged backwards ( spreader still hanging from one side ) had to punch out and drag all my sh1t back to the beach lucky I wasn't to far from shore , I was quite powered up at the time , is this common ? Anyone else have this happen
