Hi guys. After some advice, suggestions.
I have a Wainman bar (2015, 3.0 version). I like it, and all is in good condition, except the PU casing that the bar slides on covering the centre lines. Its cracked and split, and no linger safe to use as it grabs on the bar and gets stuck.
I've not had luck chasing an original replacement. The tube itself is beyond repair so i wondered about just removing it. Or, i can get a replacement tube (PU hydraulic line) in very close internal/external size. However, the original is not just a typical tube, its a double internal wall so that the depower/safety stay in separate sheath and don't get twisted. Anyone have suggestions about the best approach here? I'd rather not "just buy a new bar" unless its just no longer going to be safe to use without the original 2 channel tube, given that it seems wasteful to sideline a bar because of just the PU.

Hey Mate,
Yeah that tube is really important to the safe operation of the flag out line and has two compartments, one for center line and one for the flag line - same system as Cabrinha.

Possibly you could use a cabrinha tube if both Cab and Waimann use the use diameter lines that run through the tube and then cut the cab pu tube to length - Cab center tube is pretty long and from the pic the Waimann center tube looks shorter. personally i wouldnt make any changes to the flag out system or the QR system of any bar and lines as you could unknowingly cause a jam up.

Or maybe the system will operate without the pu tube - that might be the safest option, the center lines might ware out much quicker than expected or the bar may not slide as it should up and down the center lines.

Thanks for the heads up about Cab using a similar system. Ill check it out.

If anyone is interested in a result, Adam from Adam's Kite Repairs was very helpful in confirming Wainman and Cabrinha use the same double PU casing, so with Wainman out of action for spares, ill be looking for a Cab spare part to cut up and make a replacement.
