Hey,

I've just split with my girlfriend and need some kiting therapy.

Can you recommend some destinations that would be cool to go alone?

I went to Caberete before, it was cool. Can hang out at the restaurant attached to the hotel and watch the other kiters and easily chat. On the other hand I could hide out in my room and it's not far away.

I went to a couple of places in Egypt but I really didn't enjoy it. One place was a remote lagoon with not much around. The other was where they filmed the progression dvds, but it was surrounded by high end resorts which kind of sucked. The kiters at the school weren't too social, mainly just the guys working there.

I don't care much about nightlife. Like good cheap food. Don't want somewhere overly expensive. Just somewhere social not trapped in resorts where people aren't kiting anyway.

Something here might appeal.

I did a trip after an involuntary work breakup and it was fantastic therapy!

If you're single I don't think kiting is going to help you.
Try yoga, vegetarian restaurants and shopping malls.
The kiting scene, whilst very fun, is sausaged as bru.

You live in Noosa,

I would have thought that the Gold Coast would be the best place to be if its a girl you are missing.

Otherwise , if you want to be away from the temptation of another hook-up then just go where the wind is going to clean the mind.

Personally I liked Maui for this time of year.

I'm guessing she'd be under the age of 50. Too young for windsurfers in otherwords

Indonesia!!

Ride in the land of the Orang-Otang. Great wind from May to September. Incredible options for you to choose a guesthouse. Relax and chill in the amazing beautifull nature/landscape of this place.
No ducking under lines anymore like everywhere in the world! Have the freedom to ride a wave/lagoon how it should be! You will rest in the evening then it starts again! Ride/eat/sleep.

Pm me for details.

Do what the Germans do
and go to Denmark
there's lots of pretty girls on bicycles

I stayed in Skagen on the northern tip of Denmark where the wind blows 20knots 300 days a year (unfortunately just not the 7 that I was there)
and it's really easy to get to anywhere once you're there

also don't forgot to stop in at Amsterdam while you're still single

Hi Musikl,

Great that you coming to the 'Hidden Gem in Sumatra,Indo.

We should meet if you come. I am riding at the surf-spot and sit under the tent with my cold beer watching the show.
Where do you stay?

Mauritius is awesome for kiting in winter. July would be perfect, wind pretty much everyday and great scene. PM me if you want more info or have a look at the pic:
