Has anyone found a way of using a threaded pump adapter for the large new ozone pump up valves. They are available for Cabrinha valves but unfortunately they are about 5mm smaller than the Ozone. I use an electric pump and the tapered nozzle just blows out and has to be held in when the pressure increases. It would be worse if you had to use a hand pump where you don't have a hand free. I have included a picture of the smaller Cabrinha valve adapter.

I dont have an issue with hand or electric pump on any of my 2012 or 2013 edges

But do have an issue with the nozzle coming out of it's hose on both, but nothing a bit of glue fixes

We use an electric pump quite a bit, no problems. The Ozone valve is a taper fit, you need to push it in and turn with a light to medium pressure and it will stay in for sure.

And the kites I've used with the "Ozone" valve have handled manic high-speed inflating just fine too... push it in harder - you're not going to damage the valve, unlike the old swim float rubber valves...

Try giving the outside of your pump nozzle a light sand with sandpaper. Do it by hand, just enough to take the shine off it. Should stay put fine after that.

The Boston valve uses a "Morse Taper". You need to use the tapered nozzle that fits the Ozone valve. The large bore fitting that comes standard with most pumps fits perfect. I've never had a problem with either hand or electric pump either.

I'm guessing he heated, a spare valve cap off and old bladder and stuck it to a pump fitting he also heated up (or glued)

Engineers are train drivers but we call them ginger beers where I work!

For what its worth, I replaced the standard dump valve on an old kite with a Boston valve from Ebay.
Pretty much the only upgrade I noticed on a newer model, works fantastic, no newer kite required!

Good work with the bostons Wisha, I just replaced 2 x 9mm inputs with Cab valves (the ones that include the big base stick on), and well, one worked, one didn't.
Gonna start a new topic how to fix bladder tears at the valve as the one that's there is prolly gonna get bigger, lol

Little bit OT but I replaced my Cabrinha adapter-required valves with the new model, that you just put the hose right onto. Feels like the thread pitch is a little off as they're snug to do up but they seem to work. Less of a hassle to fit and a little less pressure to pump up... FWIW.
