Hi All

My wife and I recently did a cruise ship trip to New Caledonia. On our limited time day ashore at Noumea we went down to Anse Vata beach to check out the kiting. I unfortunately had no gear, but Lyn is a keen photographer and she captured this perfect location and some of the radical French dudes in some great shots. Here are just a few.

We would like to give the photos to the kiters involved but we had to leave before we were able to introduce ourselves. If anyone has any kiter connections in New Cal please let them know and maybe the kiters will want to contact me for the photos. The shots were taken between about 12:30 and 1:30 PM on Sunday 10th April.

Waves? Without waves it cannot be dubbed a perfect kiting location.

Plage du Méridien, technically in Anse Vata (but not plage de l'Anse Vata, you're right).

Yeah yeah, I hear you, let's say perfect for flat water twin tip tricksters then shall we? Actually it's far from my perfect location, I ride strapless boards myself and love the waves. New Cal has the perfect wave spots too at a few of the reef passes, cross-off wind blowing you perfectly down the line on the lefts. I'm goofy foot and that is my perfection! I have experienced that first hand too when we were there on our cruising yacht.
