fun waves in the 4-6ft range wind se 12-15 - rode an 8m.. 4 kiters out which is a crowd at cloudbreak boat launch all happy !

Looks like fun. In comparison to Yorkeys Knob in Cairns today 4-6 cm swell and 2 - 15 knots.

Only 7 weeks to go.. 7 long bloody weeks. Is that a Vanguard you're on? Heard they're pretty good in the light stuff.

looks like a great spot,nice,thanks for posting.

Can I ask if surfing or going anywhere near Cloudbreak is only for exclusive use by the resort nearest the break, an American run operation I believe? Is that still the case? Many years ago people were actually arrested if they came to the break from other resorts.

in 2010 the surf decree was announced ending an exclusive access situation maintained by tavarua and namotu island resorts - you could not surf in these areas..it was a special license that was revoked and opened all of the surfing areas...you can now surf or kite wherever you like !

That's me in the first and third shots

Yep, on a 5'6" Vanguard which i kited on and surfed on for two weeks in fiji

You can stay for cheap at Wailoaloa beach and pick good days to surf or kite on Adams Boat

I then went on to stay on namotu for ben wilson week

If you surf and kite, you got to get there
